Michael Dunning, AIA Founding Principal

Michael founded MEND Design Collaborative with the belief that there just might be a better way to practice architecture and design in our ever-changing world. He is a registered Architect with over thirty years of experience in a multitude of project types. 

Prior to founding MEND, Michael was a Principal with Shook Kelley, a formidable design, strategy and placemaking firm based in Charlotte and Los Angeles. 

Donatas was born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania and is the grandson of renowned sculptor and artist, Albertas Zulkus. Educated and trained as an architect, he carries on the tradition of craft and mindfulness with everything he does. Donatas is one of the first certified international Building Information Modeling (BIM) managers. He works with the team and other consultants towards fully-integrated project delivery and keeping the design process fluent.
